Soul Adventure is an open group of like-minded people who find joy in nature and are seeking community and personal challenge.
Join us weekly in a local Bellingham area park as we listen to a spiritual message, partake in physical activities and events, and experience personal and spiritual growth together. (Planned Adventures)
Paul Drewer, an ordained minister through the Free Methodist church who is currently working as a bus driver, shares a short devotional at each meeting with an invitation for personal enrichment. He may offer time for quiet reflection, invite feedback and sharing, or encourage conversation as we go on our way.
See the attached video for a sample devotional and to learn a little more about Paul.
Each week we meet at a park to enjoy the beauty of nature along with community. Physical exercise is offered as an option at whatever level you are at. We have a lot of walkers and a few runners. Groups naturally break off into varying levels of desired exercise.
Those who are unable to do the physical aspect of our time together are still encouraged to come and enjoy time together.
Children are also welcome. We usually meet near a playground they are welcome to play on if they prefer to not join the walk.

Extra physical challenges: Optional running or biking races. We will invite and create training plans for anyone who likes to participate. Each event will be registered and paid for by the individuals involved. Examples include The Honey Bucket Race and the Chuckanut Foot Race.
Extra Community Building opportunities: We occasionally plan a casual, fun group activity such as a potluck, beach day, or park day.
Extra Spiritual Growth events: Paul and his wife Mindy, who is certified in Soul Formation, schedule occasional Space For God events. There is a group portion for a short time at the beginning and end, with some solitary time provided for self-reflection and focused time with God.
